Healthcare spending doubles in the next decade.

According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) in its Budget Economic Outlook report released yesterday, America is on track to more than double government spending on health care in the next ten years. In other words, by 2022, if nothing changes, the American taxpayers will be footing a health care bill of $1.8 trillion each year, or 7.3% of our total economy.

Assuming a population of 300 million U.S. citizens, that adds up to a total of $6000 per person (not per taxpayer!) each year. A family of four will have a tax bill of $24,000—just for health care.

These numbers are not just troubling; they are unconscionable and fully unsustainable. A mere ten years from now, we will be swamped with unprecedented tax rates, rivaling any from our history as a great nation.

Something must change. We must work together to alter this collision course of insanity and insolvency.

The Obamacare runaway train must be stopped. If elected, I will work tooth and nail to help overturn and diminish the threat of Obamacare. This is the necessary course of action for a nation whose heritage and destiny are greatness.
